Mindful Living

July 22 – 26, 2026

The Retreat

Get away from the Summer heat and join us in the beautiful high-elevation mountains of Southern Utah (10,000 ft), where we will practice bringing loving-mindfulness into our relationships and daily lives.

This is an invitation to slow down during the fast-paced, adventure-filled Summer season and to connect again with your deepest values and intentions.

Of all the retreats I offer, this is the “lightest” and “most playful.” It will provide a space for us to connect deeply to others, to come home to our inter-being and shared humanity.

We will balance our days with short practices of non-dual awareness and play-filled adventure, so we can bring this open-hearted awareness back to our home and work.

To be with John Driggs is to be in the presence of both a sharp mind and a deeply open heart. His warmth, patience, and the way he asks questions—gently yet insightfully—create a kind of space where truth can rise to the surface without force. He never prescribes, never imposes, but instead walks beside you, inviting you to uncover your own healing with compassion and clarity.

One of the most life-altering moments I experienced with John happened on a simple mountain hike. As we talked about our lives, something in me opened. In response to one of his thoughtful questions, I found myself speaking aloud the tender, hidden parts I had long kept buried beneath my heart. That single conversation cracked something open in me—it became a turning point in my trauma healing, and in my willingness to open again to love and partnership. That moment, and many others we’ve shared, have changed my life in ways I’ll always be grateful for.

John is someone who brings safety not only through his presence but also through his ability to challenge ideas with curiosity and care. He invites expansive thinking, helps you play with paradigms, and brings both spiritual depth and intellectual agility to the table. His impact lives on in my life—and likely always will.

John has shown up with a level of presence, care, and grounded wisdom that is rare to find. He’s been an example to me of how to truly hold space, especially when navigating the deeper, more tender parts of life.

Whether it’s been in everyday conversations or profound experiences, like our time together in Peru sitting with ayahuasca, John consistently shows up with integrity and heart. He reminded me of the sacredness of staying connected, of not withdrawing when things get heavy.

John has also deeply impacted the way I see fatherhood. Watching him love, guide, and show up for his kids has been powerful. He leads them with intention, affection, and wisdom—and it’s clear how much they thrive because of it.

To me, John is the embodiment of a true friend: steady, thoughtful, and fully human. His presence has added real value to my life, and I’m honored to walk alongside him in this journey.

Even as I type the name John Driggs, I wonder what he ever saw in me to invest the time and energy he has. And then I’m reminded to just be grateful for who I am and for those in my life that have been there for me.

I’m grateful for how John has provided me with such tremendous amounts of space to explore neglected parts of me, which benefits both myself and the collective whole.

John is one of those individuals who the heart can so easily and readily trust. With his love, acceptance, and deep tenderness, he makes it so much easier to make contact with those hard to reach inner personal places.

It’s been a joy, and not at all a surprise, to witness his ability to fluidly guide and allow others to deepen self-love. John has been and continues to be a loving human that exemplifies love and kindness and a desire to be his best self, not only for his relationship to himself but for all those who are fortunate to walk beside him.

John’s heart and mind have reached an undeniable peace. From the moment you enter his presence, you feel his love and safety. Your entire nervous system relaxes. And when he hugs you, which is always with the entirety of his being, your body melts completely.

John also has this unique capacity to simultaneously carry the masculine and feminine, which I believe comes from the deep inner work he has done, allowing him to be entirely at home with himself. I watch the men around him relax the walls they’ve built and settle into an ease and vulnerability. They see that they can still be “manly” without compromising the tenderness we all carry within ourselves.

The other thing I find remarkable about John is his intellect. There is no conversation he can’t skillfully and meaningfully participate in, always keeping the conversation pointed and held from the heart.

Thank you, John, for your living example of love and wisdom.

      About

      John Driggs

In a former life, I was a corporate real estate attorney. But I quickly realized that success without spiritual or personal depth felt hollow. So I left that world behind and devoted the next decade to what had always called to me more deeply—philosophy, meditation, and the art of being.

Since then, I’ve studied the heart and mind from both scientific and contemplative perspectives. I’ve sat retreat in Thailand, Nepal, Costa Rica, Canada, and the U.S., including self-retreats in solitude in the mountains of Utah.

I’ve also worked with entheogens like ayahuasca and 5-MeO-DMT under traditional guidance from the Shipibo in Peru. My path has led me to pour over the world’s wisdom traditions, as well as into long conversations with the reality of suffering, mortality, and meaning in my own life.

What I found wasn’t a single answer, but an unshakable peace—a humble but grounded clarity that allows me to meet myself and others without pretense, to hold space for questions, and to serve as a mirror to others when they need to remember who they are—Awareness itself, which is naturally awake, clear, without bounds or limit, interconnected, loving and compassionate, and entirely at peace.

Today, I work with a select number of committed individuals, offering a deep and grounded presence, perspective, and perspicacity.

May you truly be at peace,

      John
